At the WELL, we are a casual church with a sincere heart toward God. We are not a “judgey” church 🙂 So, wear what makes you feel comfortable. Jeans, modest shorts and skirts are appropriate for worship. Our pastor even wears jeans & sandals on Sundays; enjoy yours!
Our services will start promptly at 10am with uplifting and dynamic contemporary worship. Be on time so you won’t miss out on the worship experience. Our services will include a time of worship through music, prayer, teaching, giving, and personal response to the message. You will never be called on, singled-out, or embarrassed. The seats are comfortable, the auditorium inviting, and we always have coffee and refreshments before and after the service. Come and enjoy with us as we strive to hear from God and be encouraged together. We are all in the same boat!
Your children are precious to us! We want them to have a great experience every Sunday and want to come back and have fun, learn, and enjoy time together with their friends. After you check your child in, the preschoolers go directly to their classes. All grade-aged children will go with you to the worship service where we will have a time of family worship. Then, your children will be dismissed with their teachers in the auditorium and you will pick them up from their classes after service. Our Children’s ministry is awesome!! Waterville is the name of the children’s ministry led by our Children’s minister, Stephanie King. Your child will learn from the Bible, play interactive games, and have small group time with incredible children’s teachers.
We take your child’s safety very serious. All parents will be required to check their children in and receive the appropriate identification tag that only the matching parent and child will have. No one can pick up that child without that identical matching tag. We have security officers on campus and security personnel in the children’s area to ensure the safest possible environment for your children.
First, our Church has a very non-denominational, contemporary feel. All are welcome!! You are welcome!!
(Like Jesus, Who wanted to reach all segments of society and did not take on “labels” of denominationalism, we want to reach families from every Religious and Faith Tradition. We have members and regular attenders who were raised Methodist, Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Episcopal, Pentecostal, and Baptist. We are a church FAMILY who loves Jesus and God’s WORD! We are all in this together as Believers . . . There is a place here for your family too!!)
Second, we also have baptist roots . . .
We were supported as a new church plant from the Southern Baptist Convention. So, we voluntarily cooperate with the Southern Baptist Convention in national and international mission endeavors through the Cooperative Missions Program.
So . . . though theologically we align with baptist distinctives, we are a contemporary church that does not feel very traditionally baptist. Come Check us out and see for yourselves!
Last, even as a new church, we want to help start new churches in areas where there is a need for God-glorifying, Christ-centered, Biblically-based New Testament Churches. So, we also partner with the ACTS 29 Network in order to accomplish recruiting, equipping, and sending church planters and beginning new churches.
Summary: My encouragement is to worry less about denomination and know we passionately and faithfully teach God’s Word and want to put Christ above all! Come check us out and see for yourselves! Come worship the Lord with us!
We want you to be involved in the life of our church!

Community is critical for your family’s spiritual growth! Our WELL Groups (small groups in homes throughout the community) are designed for your local fellowship, encouragement, spiritual growth, and ministry. Our WELL Groups are how we minister to families within our church and are where we offer monthly communion (Lord’s Supper). Our WELL Groups are offered every 2nd and 4th Sunday evening from 5-7pm. (Typically couples will hire their childcare or bring their children with them).
First, we encourage everyone to go through our Discipleship Training Home Group offered each semester called, The SOURCE. This is a great way to get to know other families looking to plug into our church body. This is a five week study on “How to Disciple Others.” These studies are offered each semester, every 2nd and 4th Sunday night of the month from 5-7PM.
Then, at the end of this semester Home Group of Discipleship Training, our Community Home Group Coordinator will inform you where each of our WELL Groups are located (near you) and how to get immediately connected to them!

Anyone who has trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior is welcome to enjoy the Lord’s Supper (Communion) with us. We have open communion.
We encourage every Believer to examine their hearts BEFORE they participate in communion so they are confessed up and in right fellowship with the Lord. See 1 Cor. 11: 26-34.
We offer the Lord’s Supper every month in our local WELL Groups (small groups in homes). We also offer the Lord’s Supper quarterly in our Sunday Worship Services.
Anyone who has trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior is welcome to participate in Believer’s Baptism.
for more information or to schedule a time for follow-up.
If you have any questions about your Christian Faith, if there is a God, or any questions in general about spirituality or personal struggles (addictions, marriage problems, or depression), you are NOT alone!
to connect with our pastor who will either counsel with you or help you find the appropriate help.
Taking the step to join the WELL is exciting! We call our “members” Covenant Partners because we want to partner in ministry with all those God has brought to join us!!
As you attend faithfully and sense God’s leadership to plug into The WELL as a member, you can attend our Church Covenant (Membership) Event/Class:
We offer this Membership class every other month on Sunday mornings at 9:00am. At the Covenant Membership Event, you will learn about our church doctrine, polity, and ministry commitments we expect from every Covenant Partner and what you can expect from the church leadership. You will also learn about and choose areas to serve in our church where you are passionate and gifted to help our church grow.
– Because the Church is to be comprised of Christ-followers as members, we will ask you share your conversion to Christ testimony with a church leader before you sign the Covenant as a member.
– We also request that any who have not participated in Believer’s Baptism by immersion (i.e. being baptized after your conversion experience), be willing to be baptized in one of our church services in the near future.
You can review our Church’s Statement of Faith (Beliefs) and the actual Member Covenant on this website.
If you are ready to join, please email Traci at Traci@thewellargyle.com to register.
